In every era of history, youth appears as a sign of hope and vitality. In every young person, life reveals itself as a promise and a concrete possibility to build a more just, fraternal, and loving world. The Church, illuminated by the Gospel, recognizes in young people not only the recipients of its mission but also active protagonists of transformation.
Pope Francis always reminded us that young people are not only the “future” but also the “present” of the Church. Their joy, their search for meaning, and their openness to the new are precious gifts for the entire Christian community. Youth reminds us that faith is not static but dynamic; it is not mere repetition, but creativity inspired by the Holy Spirit.
As Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we recognize in youth a flame capable of rekindling hope in everyone. Young people teach us to dream big, not to settle in the face of difficulties, and to believe that the mercy and love of Christ have the power to transform the world.
In the 16 countries where we are present, we experience the richness of walking alongside so many young people who wish to put their talents, faith, and energy at the service of life. They are a concrete sign that God continues to renew His Church and all humanity.
Youth is called to be a light amid uncertainties, to carry hope in their hearts, and to transmit it through every gesture of solidarity, justice, and fraternity. With young people, we can sow a future rooted in the Gospel and filled with confidence in the merciful love of the Heart of Jesus.
